It was pretty easy for me to leave my former job as Management Supervisor of communications in the advertising business to become consultant for educational training of dogs. After 3 years of study at “canis Zentrum für Kynologie” I graduated 2012 with the certificate of the veterinary chamber Schleswig-Holstein. My daily business as dogtrainer leads to numerous encounters with the most interesting people and their dogs. Each and every one of the Man/Woman-Dog-Teams addresses different demands and therefore deserves individually customized concepts for training, be it for the completely unproblematic pup or an adult dog with inadequate aggressive behavior as well as uncontrollable hunting habits or fear induced behavior patterns. Additionally, I was official Expert for the assessment of the dangerousness of dogs for Schleswig-Holstein and the city of Hamburg until I moved to Mallorca in 2023. And with great joy I also work as lecturer with the canis-team, helping to educate new dogtrainers, following the latest scientific research in dog learning habits and behavioral studies.

And as of now I am offering individual dog training concerning behavioral problems as well as puppy and junior dog education, for not letting any problems occur in the first place.

Every Sunday and Wednesday the puppies learn the basics for an optimized fit into your life. And by that I do not mean “sit, laydown or heel“, although this will also be trained. Far more important though is the ideal socialization with other dogs and human beings and even more important a strong relationship, building the very basic for a happy ever after. This is why the focus of the puppy school is play and building up a resilient tolerance for frustration, that leads to a chilled mind when confronting the usual daily events. We also work on the fundament for a perfect call back and several other orders that help to simplify living with your dog. And the dog owners learn everything that is important for raising a dog responsibly and answering to all the needs of a puppy, be it housetraining, food, necessity for sleep and sport as well as the theoretical basics of dogs’ learning behavior for a seamless communication with the new family member.

It comes so suddenly: from one day to the other our cute little pup forgot his name or won’t remember the rules, he so willingly obeyed since this very morning. But all of a sudden new hormons reign and the little dog needs our support and understanding to stay the well educated family member he already was. Just relax: it is perfectly normal that the little dog, like puberting childs, revolts against rules. As long as you have a plan and still the time and patience to reassure him that everything he has learned so far is still valid. The little dog needs to be challenged but shall not be overstrained, one needs to satisfy his needs but not spoil him.

This educational work is the very essence of your relationship and also brings great joy. Furthermore it is real fun to see how creative your little flatmate is in finding gaps in the system, daily smile guaranteed!

As soon as behavioral problems are quite established, there is no better way to handle this than by individual training.

After a thorough analysis and definition of your goals, an individual training concept builds the very base to enhance the dog owners’ abilities to act accordingly whenever a conflict arises and to enable the dog to stop his inadequate behavior and instead act accordingly.

Normally 3-7 individual training hours are needed to achieve a long lasting change in behavior.

Alumnis of the Youngangsters and of the individual training are given the opprtunity to achieve even more and to sustain already learned behaviors. In everyday life, there is often simply not enough time to repeat exercises or you cannot fathom why something that already worked perfectly all at ones no longer does. It is therefore very practical having the chance to train with like-minded humans-dogs-teams and even so receiving individual coaching. This not only improves the bonding of the single teams, it is also a lot of fun. There will also always be time for special requests, be it funny tricks such as “play dead” or enhancing the human body language just to improve the daily communication with our dogs.
